Noises from HDD

So my hard drive's making this noise during writing, should I be worried? It's not a new one, I bought it second hand from my friend, he rarely use it.

Only if you don't have any backups of the data that is on the drive.

Find the manufacturer (of the hard drive) tool for checking the drive health, and run them. It will help finding out the health of the drive.

Hmmmm, I did a test few weeks ago with Samsung magician and nothing seems to be off, I've never used the hard drive after purchasing but noticed that the sound is always present when writing something but never paid too much attention to it

I was worried since my Seagate HDD doesn't make such noise

It's not that audible on all drives, but I've had a bunch of drives that made such a sound. It's the noise of the read/write head moving around.

Not the best quality video, but I'd say it sounds about the same.

I'm doing a test at the moment using HD Tuner, so far so good, perhaps it's just a normal HDD noise, thanks tho!

Yeah some drives are just normally noisier than others. If Samsung's tools say it's ok, it's okay

Which HDD is it ?? And few HDD do make such noise. But you should always be careful about backing up your data.

it's a Hitachi HDD and that's about it, not sure about the model.
