BSOD when overclocking CPU

Hello Forum, it's been a while!

So I delidded my 8700k quite some time ago and i started experiencing BSOD alot in this time. I only get BSOD's when I overclock my CPU, no matter the Speed, no matter the voltage. Overclocking the memory or my GPU does not result in any issues.

I ran the CPU without a delid @5.0GHz stable before all this, could the CPU just have gone bad?

I always get either a Kernel error, System Service Exception, Kmode Exception not handled, and the sort... At this point i reverted the CPU back to all core 4.3GHZ and ive been running crash free since, but this is honestly no solution to my issue. I also tried reinstalling Windows, nothing changed tho.

Would greatly appreciate any help you guys can give me.

if it runs at stock speeds but not any overclocked settings you might have degraded the cpu to where the cpu wont run overclocked anymore

Gotta tell us more about the de-lid.

What paste did you use?

Did you glue the IHS plate back on?

What do the temps look like?

Are you memory overclocking?

Are you Cache overclocking?

What voltages are being used?

Have you tried a fresh installation of windows recently?

I used Conductonaut Liquid metal as paste between the dye and the IHS and glued the IHS back on with high temperature silicone. I covered the little contacts inside also with the silicone. Temps were around 60°C max under full load @5GHz.

Running XMP for the Memory so just overclocked to the factory specs @3200MHz
Voltage on the CPU was 1.35V and Windows was installed when i coudlnt run 1 hour without BSOD while idling at the desktop, which was fairly recent.

guess i'll have to undo my loop and use something else over the little contacts inside the CPU to see if anything changes.
