Budget pc. I've got a i3-3240 and 8 gigs ram and want a graphics upgrade. Was thinking of getting a MSi gtx 1660 6gb. but i think its gonna get bottle necked, if so what is recommended?

what country are you buying from? what is your budget? what will you be doing with your PC?

😕

Yup. Maybe find a cheap used i7 to replace the i3 and another 8 gigs of ram, combined with the GTX 1660 this setup should do nicely for not a whole lot of money.

It’s dependent on the rest of the system.  You might have the slots for it but many GPUs require additional power and power connectors which you may or may not have. The 1660 requires an additional power cable for example.

without knowing what the rest of the system is venturing an opinion is near impossible.   What you want to run on it is also key.  It’s not impossible that a 1650 is the fastest card that can even be connected.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Also need PSU.  The whole system really. There needs to be enough power and power connectors available.  If it’s a prebuilt the model of the machine.

if you can wait a while, wait till september once new graphic cards drop. either you can find some good new gen hardware that fits in your budget, or you can get a used/new 2060super, 5700xt or 2070super

😕
