so i just tried my first cpu overclock i have a ryzen 5 2600 and an asrock b450m steel legend, i increased the voltage and frequency a bit; not a lot,it was stable i left a stress test running for a while and it was fine. i just did userbenchmark and its telling me my cpu is under performing and that its base speed is 3.6ghz but boost speed was 3.55ghz. is there a way i can check this and have i done something wrong?

dont use it, it's not accurate and is not reliable.

Userbench is a fraudulent website with repeat abuses going on. Avoid it. It's banned on r/intel, r/amd and r/hardware for a good reason.

would be?

monitoring the frequency? with hwinfo for example.

Hello,

You have CPU-Z or HWinFO64, you can also do a bench using Cinebench R15 and/or R20 and compare it online.

I jus did a cinebench and used task manager it’s sitting at 3.55 ghz 100% utilisation. I’m new to overclocking so I wouldn’t know but does it jus sit at the clock speed you’ve overclocked to and not boost up to say 3.9ghz like it would if I hadn’t overclocked? If that makes sense?

What was the results of your Cinebench ? It will throttle if it's not cooled properly or if the OC is failing and you have applied some Offset or if your OC is just toggling PBO.

On R15 you should be around 1300 so something is off. Try it on stock with XMP/DOCP enable and see if it's worse or better. Also monitor the temp during it (peak and average).

temps never broke 85, i have no idea what them letters mean. also when i did a cinebench before overclock it was like 1150
