Yep, exactly.

True that.

Thanks to both of you :)

In case i won't be able to afford one of the 30 series. Would you rather recommend the 2070 super or the 2080 super?

the 2080s will give you a better experience if you can afford it, especially at 1440p.

Hey guys,

so, i currently have Gainward GTX 1070 and i want to upgrade to RTX soon (especially with CP2077 coming in November). But i'm stuck with what to go for and i'm hoping that you guys can give me some help deciding on what i should do.

My budget is gonna be around 500 to a max of 750(+-). I first thought about the RTX 2070 Super, which is placed around 500€ and gives me around 80% performance increase. Than i saw, that the 2080 Super starts around 650/700, but only has around 10-12% performance increase to the 2070. So my first question here, is it worth to spend the 200€ more for "only" 12% more performance?
And my second question is: Even tho its just speculation, arent there rumors that the 30 series are going to be cheaper at release than usually and will come this year aswell? Would be smarter to wait for the new series or do you guys think those will be out of my budget?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings,

josh

it would be smarter to wait, as for the pricing we dont know the exact numbers yet, though it shouldnt be far off from the previous gen pricing.

Maybe it will be helpfull if you know more about my rig btw :D
I have a ryzen 5 3600x, a gigabyte x570 gaming x, a patriot viper stell 4400mhz 16gb RAM.
I just realised that i only have a 550 W PSU.. do you think i need to upgrade that as well, since the RTX GPUs tend to need more  than GTX ones?
