Can I have 2 diff GPUS?

OK could i have say an r9-290 and a hd7850 not in xfire, but playing a game off the 290 and having an aux monitor off the hd7850?

 

Just to be clear, not the a10 7850, the radeon hd 7850

The 290 supports 4 monitors.

Yeah. I'm using a 8800gts and a 650ti in my system. You should be able to do that just fine.

My question would of been an r9 290 and a gtx580 or gtx670 for physx

It would work, but I don't see why you would do that.

If say i wanted to play bf4 on 3 monitors and i didnt want a 4th monitor displaying the map slowing my game down

I mean ill need to get money for 3 more monitors and a 290 but, might as well have somthing to save up for that ik will work!

whoa who said you can use Chungus™  in your member title?

Its been like this for nearly a month now, i was watching kokoro connect when one of the characters called another character a chungus and i liked the word as a result my title was born, did i like copy someone or something?

I said monitor so yeah. I made a mistake and later edited it to say GPU. Sorry for the confusion.

 

OK. but like wouldent BF4 run faster if only 3 monitors were hooked up to the 290? I mean i have a 7850 now so im wondering if it would be worth keeping if i get a 290
