This is my first time posting here.

Im going to be  a first time gaming pc builder but still lack some of the knowledge needed. I want to build a mid range pc with second hand parts hopefully around £750. I currently am set on an i7 3770k, an nvidia gtx 1650, a 1tb ssd, 16gbs of ram. Could anyone advise on any good motherboards, PSUs and cooling systems that would suit the current parts I need. Also any other advice for a first timer would also be much appreciated.

what working parts do you have on hand?

target monitor  resolution?

tip 1 dont pick top / bottom of the line, pick second best

Well I have no working parts as I want a fully realised plan before spending any money and I was just hoping for something mid ranged that could comfortably run games at 1080 60fps

This sounds great. But will I need a case fan or WiFi card as well?

750w????? Is there a 3950x with 2x 2080ti in SLI that i overlooked 😂

Why such total overkill psu for this max 250w system? It could do with any decent 450w unit and then still have a ton of room to spare... (although id go 550w as most quality units start in abt that range).

Note it might be a good choice if prices are out of whack locally wich sometimes happens. But i suspect op can save a good few quid not looking at 750w units.

I was looking at a Corsair 450 watt for £40 anyway

After looking at posts here i see it is cheaper and better to pick amd Ryzen 3 3100. Thanks for the PSU advice as I have picked a Corsair 450w option.

ou're better off just going new and not buying overpriced used hardware:

what?

a pro max (non m) is generally cheaper and does the same thing.

get an actual good case. and you dont need a 750w.

If the ryzen 3 3300x is not that much more expensive and if you can find it I would go for that one instead and if you have some money left you could get a gtx 1660 super or something along those lines.

I9 10850K

EVGA RTX 3080 TI FTW3 ULTRA

32 Gb Crucial Balistix ddr4 3600mHz 16-18-18-38

MSI Z490 Tomahawk

Fractal Design Ion+ 860W platinum

Arctic Liquid Freezer II, 360mm

WB Black SN750 NVMe ssd

TeamGroup L5 3D Lite 1 Tb sata SSD

It was the cheapest option that was good quality. It’s a decent quality psu that’s around 100 euros.

Thanks for all the help everyone. After revising my ideas, I came to a much better plan which costs me £567. I will attach a photo of my parts list and I can't wait to share the finished product with you all once completed.

This is almost a really good build. I would go with the 1650 super though. It is a way better option and only costs like $10ish more.

A CX? System Power 9? Don’t think you need a Platinum 750w psu for an average build.

how about you link PSUs that are available in his market that are better instead of just listing off random PSU brands that could be out of stock. I listed the best one IMO that was available at an affordable price at the time of posting.
