For those of you who live in the UK/London

notaniel101

This summer I am planning on taking a trip to go to London for 10 days (June/July) with two of my good high school friends. We are planning on staying in youth hostels and seeing the sights around London/Surrounding country side.

What I am asking is are there any places around/in London or in the surrounding areas that you would recommend seeing?

Along with the previous would it be worth it to maybe try and take a side trip to Ireland/Scotland for a day/couple of days?

There are alot of places in and around London, Brighton is a short trip by train. To be perfectly honest if you have ten days I'd say you should visit places around the UK as they are not that far away.

yes I did, but I also figured that since it seems that a fair number of people that are on here live in the UK/Europe that it would also be beneficial to ask them since they live there.

Besides that they might know about some places that are still interesting but do not show up on the popular tourist guides at the top of google

The Gilgamesh, I've not eaten there but the decor inside that place is something else.

Have a look at the gallery.

Also, keep an eye out for the works of Banksy.

Wow, that restaurant/club looks cool, and seems reasonable price wise

Travel by train is good because it is quick, just don't fall asleep and miss your stop! ;)

Not cheap here in the UK though :(

The science museum is often worth a visit, and the London Eye is a good start.
