I'm gonna try and make a Virtual Machine, so me and my brother can play on the same computer at the time, but I have a ryzen 5 3600X 16gb of 3200 and 2060S would that be enough to make a virtual computer and have enough memory for both of us? Would i have to get more memory? Also I have a old 980ti, could I put that into the computer have him use that for the Virtual Machine, while I use the 2060S.

i mean it wont be the best, assuming both get equal resources, it'll be 3v cores and 8 gigs per user, if you want you can try it out and check.

2060S

edit, one gpu wont work for more than one vm.

what games r u looking to play, if u split it into 2 you'll only have 3 cores each

assuming a third isnt needed to supervise both VMs

that's not a lot of cpu power to go around

but yes it can work

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

So I would have 6 cores for me and 6 cores for him?

SMT is not cores. having 6 hyper threaded cores does not equate to 12 cores.

Ohhh okay I understand but if I were to plug in my old 980ti could I get Minecraft to run off of that and get fallout 4 to run off of my 2060S?

if  you allocate that certain gpu to that certain vm then yes.
