Is DDR4 2666MHz ram compatible with i3-9100F ?

Hello,

Can I use ddr4 2666MHz ram with i3-9100f?
Right now, I have ddr4 2400MHz ram and want to add another one but found only 2666MHz, and wondering if it is compatible with my cpu or mobo.

This is my specs:
CPU: i3-9100f
RAM: 1x8 GB DDR4 2400MHz

MoBo: Asus Prime H310M-E

It will be downclocked not because of the imc but because of the board. 

I completely misread the question my bad. 

It will be downclocked because the original stick is at 2400. Lol I feel stupid.
