Looking for a laptop

Hi guys,

 

I have never owned a laptop or worked on one for that matter so I'm not hugely knowledgeable on the matter.

 

My mother is looking to buy a new laptop to hopefully last a good few years.

 

For context:

Would be used mostly for Netflix,spotify and light photo editing.

She has said she would prefer an intel processor and I'm assuming an i7 would be the way to go for future proofing.

 

 

If anyone could give any suggestions it would be awesome

i would go for a ryzen 5 4500u laptop or ryzen 7 laptop. they are cheaper and better than intels current laptop cpus.

Mobile i7s are slower than Ryzen 5s so no, i7s are not been remotely worth it.
