Hello people, im building my first pc and i have a question. There any difference between buying a kit that have 2 sticks or buying 2 sticks separately but they are exactly the same model?

If you buy two single sticks of memory from a RAM manufacturer that doesn't make their own memory chips (i.e. Corsair, G.Skill, Kingston, Team, Geil and more) you run in the chance of them using different memory chips per batch of RAM.

When you buy a pack of two sticks of RAM, you are basically guaranteed to have RAM (and thus memory) from the same batch.

That would be the real difference and mismatched memory on the RAM could lead into incompatibilities.
