So basically Ive had no issues in the past with my wifi, I was able to reach around 15 up to 20mbps which I was completely fine with. However now the most Ive ever gotten was around like 4, Ive tried calling my ISP to see if they can resolve it, changing my wifi channels and also DNS servers but nothing so far has helped. I havent moved my computer anywhere since I was able to get 15mpbs and it would be really hard to use ethernet as my computer is on the second floor and I would prefer not to move my router.

Do you get full speed on Ethernet?

If the answer is Yes then the problem is the router,

If the answer is No then the problem is the ISP.

adding to your point. most ISP's also only guarantee the speed to the premises ( that is the speed they can read on your router) as they can't control the environment that  you use on their service.

Ive had many MANY issues with BT in the past and most times it was their fault, but that is probably a rare scenario.

but do try with a Ethernet cable attached for sake of trying.

My ISP replaced all the coaxial cables in my house with optic fiber and verified in front of me that i get the 1Gbps that i paid for from the router,it's a really good ISP,the best i have ever had.
