so i have a old hp pc and I have a problem with ram, currently i have 3 sticks (512MB) of ram which is 1.5GB, but when I add another 512MB stick the pc wont work. All ram slots were tested and they were working. The ram is working as well it was tested. pls help

Maybe one of the slots on the motherboard is faulty.

Is it DDR or DDR2?
