New RGB Build

***This is my first custom build***
GPU: Nvidia 2070 super(Best for my budget)

Motherboard: tuf 570 gaming wifi(since this was my first build I wasn’t sure if I would have to use an older cpu to update bios on older board)

cpu: amd 5 3600

case: Corsair 465x

aio: Corsair h100i

memory: Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200

Storage: XPG SPECTRIX S40G RGB m.2 1TB

external 3.0 Samsung 2tb ssd

extra LL 120 fan for back exhaust

Power: Corsair cxm 650 80+ bronze

Lights: Phanteks neon strips, strimer plus gpu power

monitor: AOC U2790VQ 27" 4K. (I know it’s 60fps but this was purchased before I built pc, used for Mac setup)

1. instead of the cxm series, id rather recommend the non modular cx series 650w. if you would like the modular feature, consider getting a TXM, RMx, or Vengeance series psu from corsair.

2. any reason why you went with an external 2tb ssd?

3. at this budget (im assuming 1500-200$), its best to wait till september to build. new generation processors (zen3, 4000 series ryzen) and new GPUs (Nvidia 3000 series ampere, AMD Big Navi) is coming soon, the same price youre paying now can get you much better performance in 2 months. it is of best interest for you to wait.

😕

agreed, but if he can afford the extra benefits then there's no problem in getting one, is there? why simply cut costs when it is not needed?

😕
