I have a CPU WU stuck in send mode and it has been this way for days now.  It's not actually stuck in the client, it's just that the collection server assigned to it has been down since shortly after the unit was assigned (according to F@H's own server status page).  I'm tired of looking at it.  Is there any way to flush it, or should I ignore the twitching caused by my mild OCD and just deal with it?

If it's legitimately stuck, you can remove the slot that the WU is living on, save the configuration, and re-add it.  But only do that as a last resort: they don't like people doing it.

  • 2 weeks later...

If you really must delete the unit, if Windows, open File Explorer, navigate to %APPDATA%, then FAHClient, then work. delete the corresponding slot number eg. 00, 01, 02, etc.

If Linux, open a terminal, cd /var/lib/fahclient/work/00 (or 01,etc.), make sure you're in the right location with pwd, then delete the contents (if you are on Linux and didn't understand all that, please do not try it)
