Free disk partition tool.

Go to solution Solved by Windows7ge,

You might like to give MiniTool Partition Wizard a go. I can't say you'll be able to reverse your Dynamic disk though. Traditionally Basic > Dynamic but Dynamic > Basic can only be done by deleting the disk, all the data on it, and starting fresh.

You can't convert a dynamic disk to a basic disk without losing data. You need to back the data up somewhere else before the conversion.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks, it worked great, I thought it would be like all the other ones that don't let you do anything without paying.

I'll admit I haven't used it extensively myself but I've been hearing very good things about it with people in similar situations to yourself so I brought it up. Glad to hear it helped.

If you don't mind I have a question. Was it able to revert your Dynamic disk back to Basic without wiping any data off it?

No that feature was in the paid version so I don't know if it would have been able to do that.

Yeah, traditionally going from a Dynamic disk back to Basic requires destroying all partitions and cleaning the disk. Starting from scratch essentially. You'll have to relocate all the data and wipe the drive to go back to Basic.
