High ping in games

So for the last year or so ive been getting bad ping in league of legends and in other games i play in euwest servers i used to get 70-80 ping which is good ( well its not but its the lowest that i get) now idk whats the problem and it keeps tilting me any help is appreciated thanks in advance.

Ahh... I doubt I'll be much help with LoL; I don't play it nor do I have any knowledge of how their server network is set-up.

What ISP are you using & what country?

That also may be outside my knowledge base.

your isp is probably overwhelmed. Comcast here I keep dropping at least 10% of the packets leaving my house. Regardless if you're wired in there isn't much to do besides make sure its not software on the pc (unlikely as it appears your dropping some packets #11) and then call your isp to check the lines and see if they will boost node bandwidth (they didn't for me). Of course this isn't definite as internet is weird (just the same symptoms as me).

ISP's can change their routing. The key thing from that traceroute is that there are 16 hops, of which latency is picked up hop 8.

 

Here's the thing though. You're not tracing the right thing. Login to the game, and then do "netstat -ao"

Look up the process number to see what process the game is using, do "tasklist" Once you figure out what it's connecting to, only then do a traceroute.

 

Tracing to google does not help with that specific game.

Same with mine except it started in March when people started working from home. So Kisai might be correct because its started later on but additionally my ping to google was at 25ms for 3 days and then went back to the 60ms im used to. So it seems like the Isps might be switching stuff a bit more to match demand.
