I'm doing some physics coursework soon and i was wondering if theres any software that can use video to calculate velocity and speed of rotation.

you will need some sort of ruler in the frame. From that you can just look through the video to see how far the object has traveled per frame. For example if you filmed it at 30fps each frame would be 1/30th of a second and you could look at the distance traveled. Using speed = distance/time you can calculate the speed
