best gpu upgrade?

CPU i7 4790

GPU GTX 970

 

I was planning to upgrade my GPU as I use a 21:9 1080p monitor but my gpu is already struggled with RDR 2 even on low settings. 
 

What do you guys reccomend me to get? Budget wise or not would be really appreciated

2080 Ti? There's not really any parameters here. As just a reasonable middle of the road suggestion, probably a 5600XT. It's a really solid GPU which you can get all day at $280. If that's too steep, I'd go for a 1660 super, which I think is running around $220. Anything less is quickly diminishing returns on investment.

Technically the best GPU is the Quadro 8000 or the titan rtx.

For your CPU, I wouldn't go past a 2060 or RX 5600 XT
