does WD have a migration tool?

I know Samsung have a Data Migration Tool, but that has a caveat...

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

What SSD's do you own?  The big boys have migration software linked to their products.  Samsung, Crucial, etc.

 

If not, then use Macruim Reflect. I recommend it.

Don't think they have their own, they seem to partner with Acronis.  Another good software to clone with.

macrium is free enough to do the migration. That's what I used for my last HDD to SSD migration.
