Prepare to cut some of the front panel. These cases aren't built for three 5.25" devices.

 

Also, I'm sorry, but I just hate looking into that HP case. It just makes me remember the nightmare my system was when I got it. All I need is to see those vents and I had enough...

 

But I believe that you will be able to mod it into something amazing.

I agree its not the best case at all to work with, but this was a challenege of sorts to see what i could do

asthetics werent a consideration really when i planned this out, but i understand where you're coming from

So ive just purchased the  Lian Li EX 36A2 HDD Rack mount kit for my build

 

should arrive in a day or two

 

gonna mount it vertically, with up to four drives eventually, (they are expensive, roughly $600 for 4 2TB Red drives)

 

next is the ram and HDD's themselves

HDD cage arrived yesterday.

 

test fit looks ok, it block the two right angled SATA ports, but no big deal

 

 

i'll post some pics later on today when i get the chance.
