Hey guys!

For my 25th birthday I built a pretty decent PC and had a blast. Now, several years later with my 30th looming 6 months out, I’m thinking of doing a new build and just going all out. I’m upgrading from a:

Intel i7 4790k (I think)

Cryorig H7

MSI GAMING 5 Motherboard

MSI 980 TI

16 GB of Corsair Vengeance (1333 MHz)

500GB 860 Evo

2TB Hard Drive

750w EVGA PSU

NZXT H440 (Red/Black)

BenQ GW2765HT (x2)

Asus ROG Swift PG348Q (Recent addition)

So, I want to lose my mind with this (I also just enjoy building computers). I was just before the RGB craze, so I want LIGHTS. I’m also open to water cooling, though that kind of intimidates me. I’m definitely leaning toward an AIO CPU cooler. So I’m just wondering what kinds of PC’s you all would build if you had the budget?

Budget (including currency): $5,000

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: AAA, Destiny 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, everything. I also host a Plex server, and I’m getting into JavaScript (Mainly for use within ServiceNow) but I’d like the ability to experiment with all kinds of things that may require more processing power. Possibly some streaming in my future.

Other details: I’m good as far as peripherals I think. I’m leaning toward buying a second Asus PG348Q (Or one of those Odyssey G9’s. I’m insane about monitors) and I’m looking forward to Nvidia’s 3000-series for a 3080 TI or 3090.

Thanks for any help with your ideas!

Edit: I would like to build again in my H440!

Also titan rtx cause why not, maybe there will be second gen rtx titan

Why would you trust a fan over an AIO?

Don't bother yet. Wait until the fall when the new stuff is out.

Since prices fluctuate pretty significantly, any build you plan now won't be relevant then.

The RTX Titan is a massive waste of money, even with a $5000 budget. Won't be much better than a 2080 ti at 3440 x 1440 and costs twice as much.

this seems pretty good for the budget. I would wait for RTX 3000 and Zen 3 and swap the 3950X for a 4950X and 2080 Ti for 3080 Ti but other than that this is probably pretty good. No case included but this should fit in your current case hopefully

Current System: Ryzen 7 3700X, Noctua NH L12 Ghost S1 Edition, 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz, MAG B550i Gaming Edge, 1TB WD SN550 NVME, SF750, RTX 3080 Founders Edition, Louqe Ghost S1
