Nvme ssd disappeared from BIOS

Hi, I’ve been using my m.2 ssd for months as my boot drive and today when I turned on my PC its no longer recognized by my motherboard.

What could be the reason for this, the pc was working normally last night

BIOS is up to date

    AMD Ryzen 5 3600

  • Asus ROG B450-F Gaming

    2x8GB Ballistix 3000MHz

    EVGA GTX 1080
  • Storage
    Crucial 500GB m.2

did it update bios and you have to set bios back to pcie again?

I’m not sure what you mean but I updated the BIOS after the problem started to try and fix it

so if you in bios integrated HW config page change the m.2 slot back to pcie it still don't detect your disk?

The only options are Auto and Sata56 under M.2_1 Control

This is in the Onboard Devices Configuration menu

Update: I put the ssd on the 2nd m.2 slot and now it shows up, the problem is the MB manual says that that port uses the same bandwidth as the GPU

 

I will see if this affects performance

16 or 8x is minimal difference, maybe maybe 2-5 frames you realy can see. 

i'm running two GPU's in 8x :) and i have two nvme's in raid 0..
