Windows 10 2004 Update mouse issue

Hello people,

I've updated to Windows 10 2004 everything else is working fine apart from right clicking on any icon on the taskbar.

I have tried restarting Windows Explorer but does not fix the issue, I cannot rollback to 1909 as it is over the 10 days.

Does anyone have a solution I can use before I have to wipe and reinstall 1909.

If I have Outlook open for example, I try to right click the taskbar icon but nothing happens.

Another example is trying to close open programs by right clicking on the taskbar icon the menu does not appear.

I have tried numerous different mice but they all have the same issue.

ok,

  • have you run an antivirus scan?
  • did you install any program other than windows update before it happened?
  • have you tried updating your drivers?

if you have done all said above then you might want to try this steps:

  • Start > type view all then click on "View all problem reports Control panel"
  • Can you right-click on a few of the "Windows Explorer" "Stopped working" errors > View technical details

then pls relay the errors here, Thank you 🖖
