Can I ask why?

And, if I was to go for something like - Mackie CR4-X, how simple is it to just plug them into my PC and get audio? Do I need anything else.

Razer quality is hit and miss, and you'll get better sound out of something else.

You shouldn't, they say they come with a cable to connect them to the PC. When I bought my CR5BTs I had to buy an RCA to 3.5mm cable, but it was like $8.

Razer sells at a mark up mostly prioritizing auesthetics over functionality with a few exceptions. Their mice are fine for the most part. But audio anything is usually weak their headsets are the only headsets I ever missed footsteps with. I can usually sense footsteps near me from any other brand but razer for some reasons had a tendency to fail me. Why not a razer Leviathan?I don't trust any audio gear that attempts to give you 5.1 surround with basically 1 centre channel unit

Thank you for the feedback :) Gives me a clearer idea on why not, any suggestions?

A pair bookshelfs would be a better idea something from Kanto, edifier, or like a jamo s803.

jamo s803 - This is my entire budget in one speaker :P

For the other two, what models do I want to be looking at? And I need something easy to just plug in and play preferably.

You can get an RCA to 3.5mm to connect it directly to your PC or other devices, it also has Bluetooth like the razer one. You can see the jacks on 1:19 of the video.

here's one from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-3-5mm-2-Male-Adapter-Stereo/dp/B01D5H8JW0

Nice, have fun with them. I'm more of a headphone guy but I'm actually gonna buy one for myself since my current speaker is this:speaker.thumb.jpg.36004b6295e6ec1d8bdada3d0c3afaf3.jpg

Hahah! I don't even have any right now but I'm using my Sony WH-1000XM3. They're great but some speakers will really help things out :)

Just bought the R1700BTs :)

Good. Now you have two options - listen and don't complain, they're good for your budget. Or...

...treat this as a good start to become audiophile and start saving money for better speakers, amplifier etc. And spend 2000 this time. :)

But seriously - speakers (good ones) are very safe investment. Unlike TV, computers etc. it's not something that you must upgrade after 5 years. So imo is not worth cutting costs on audio equipment.
