Unboxing basics

I know that jae's of every country are different BUT! When you buy a product, no matter if it's new, refurbished or second hand ALWAYS take a video of unboxing and power it in the same if possible. That is the most possible way to ensure a refund or repaired of a product, even if the last/minor thing is faulty. Capture a whatever video on whatever phone you have on hand and (if asked) upload on streamable or YouTube (not public).I have refunds from local and Asian alike stores

I actually do that everytime I buy used products. I don't power them on because that would be a hassle but I unbox them to see if it's actually what I bought.

I don't bother. Amazon has always covered anything that's been incorrect.

When I can, but still if something arrives broken, cuz of amazing delivery service, you still have to prove it

No you don't. You just say I received this and it's broken. Then they refund you, or send another, depending on what it is. If that doesn't work you just file a chargeback through the credit card company.

No I do pay with PayPal and they helped me with bad sellers in the past already even without proof, but I still do it for the added security.

I second that, Amazon has never asked any questions, they just send you a new thing. Their customer service is a full 10/10 imo.

You know that boxes can be resealed right? Taking a video doesn't prove anything. You could have easily opened the box, replaced the product, resealed the box and then shot the video.

Unless it's Amazon. You can't really buy their box tape anywhere.

No, but a determined shady person can steam off their tape and reuse it.

Or open the box from the bottom the initial time so that the top is still sealed for the video. 

 

Or use clear tape over the cut Amazon tape (I doubt it would be noticeable on camera) 

 

I am just being devil's advocate here. Video is not proof of anything.
