750 ti Help.

Go to solution Solved by JAKEBAB,

not exactly.. you have to plug in power pins rather than putting it into the PCI just that way it will have no power to run

EDIT: Depends on your PSU.. mostly stock pc's have 300w or even 400w

power pins? what are u talking about?

Op if u get a reference design u should be ok as it doesnt require a pcie plug it gets its power threw the pcie slot but make sure your psu is about 300w+

depends on the hardware you've got.

What hardware are you using right now?

I am not sure, all I know is that it is a duel core i3 and some oem motherboard.

I thought the 750ti can run off PCI power

You might be okay. PC Perspective had an article where even a 250W PSU perfectly adequate for some prebuilts they put 750 Ti's into.

I am not sure, all I know is that it is a duel core i3 and some oem motherboard.

search for "system information" in the start menu to find out what motherboard you have. "System Manufacturer" is the motherboard manufacture and "system model" is the motherboard model.

in system information you can also see how much ram you have under "install physical memory (ram)" you can also see the exact processor including model number in there.

Download gpu-z to find out what graphics card you have.

Open up your case and find out what power supply you've got aswell.

Let me know when you have all of this information. CPU, motherboard, ram, gpu and power supply

If you get a 750ti without the 6 pin, you'll have no issue.

With the 6 pin, you may or may not depending on your PSU

EVGA has a really nice 750ti (SC version), that has a nice aftermarket cooler, a nice overclock, and doesn't require the connector.

Case: Lian Li PC011-D - CPU: 3900x - GPU: 2080ti Reference - Mobo: Gigabyte - Ram: Corsair 4x16gb 3200MHz - SSD: 2TB Samsung Evo NVME

Thanks for the recommendation I will most likely buy this one.
