I/O error on HDD

So i just built my new pc and im finally on windows. I go to disk management and i try to initialize my hdd (seagate barracuda).  After i click “ok” it shows me that error as you can see from the photo. What should i do?

Can you try a different pc? Or if not, a different cable + port. If that doesn't work might be a bad drive.

I tried a different cable + port. Still doesn’t work  I’ll try it with a different pc

I am having this same problem.

 

My system is a new build with the following components:

Motherboard: ROG STRIX X299-E GAMING II

Processor: Core I9-9980XE

SSD: Two M.2 SSDs

Graphics Card: EVGA RTX 2080 Ti

HDD: One WD Red 4TB HDD

 

All the other components work perfect except for the I/O error when I try to initialize the HDD.

When I tried it in another computer it worked perfectly.

I am using AHCI mode in the BIOS for my HDD.

I am booting into Windows from one of the M.2 SSDs.

Please help!!

this is probably a controller issue, the pcb at the bottom of the hdd. if their is still warranty, then replace it.
