Windows 10 installation version

When you create an installation media of windows, you can select different version of windows 10, lets say i choose win10 pro, but when i install it to my new pc, i chose the option of not having a key. If i were to use a win10 home key, will it work? or will i have to use a win10 pro key?

No; you need to install the version you have a key for.

I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have added.

 

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

You'll need a windows 10 Pro key for Pro and the Home key for Home. If you have Pro installed and activate the Home key, your installation will be downgraded to home or don't work at all.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
