Problem: after changing the boot ssd with a HDD I can not install windows x64.

What: Basically my ssd with windows 10 x64 died, I replaced it with an old hdd, installed easy windows 10 x64 from my bootable usb stick, after a short period of time it also died, ( I did not had hope for it anyway, it was old), now with my brand new high speed hdd ( that i hope will not die) I could not install win 10 x64, however luckily I had the x32 bit variant, once installed it I reinstalled Media creation Tool for win 10 x64, the problem persisted, the error code is 0x8007025D, tried everything and still did not worked, only the hard drive changed, my PC is compatible with x64, all drivers are up to date. Please any help would be awesome,

Run Memtest86+ for at least 2 passes, to verify the RAM.

That error code means something is wrong with the Windows files being installed. Either you have a bad sector on your SSD, or a bad sector on your USB drive. Given it worked fine once you installed Windows 10 32 bit I'd suspect the USB drive. Try a new one and see if that works.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I reinstalled, verified the usb several times, the problem did not resolved, the usb stick is good, about Ram I had 8 Gb, after installing win 10 x32 it said that it is usable only 1.6 Gb, și I installed my 4 Gb Ram in order to get 2.something Ram, this 4 Gb Ram was used on both OS 32 and 64, and on both it worked properly, until the disaster.

  • 2 weeks later...

I run the test, got all 8 passes on RAM,

I tried several usb sticks from several different computers, even on a x32 laptop I installed x64 windows, it crashed without any errors every 13 seconds, but it run, and it was even better on safe mode. The same usb worked on one pc but does not work on another, I run 2 different tests and both said 100% my pc is compatible, All drivers are up to date, they already were, the bios too. I am desperate, I am a programmer and I need windows x64.

Still desperate, help, any suggestions pls.

New news, I found an old DVD of my motherboard, with older drivers, now everything is working properly, finally, so, if someone have this problem as me, try installing older drivers, not the newest, I repeat if you have the same problem as me, read the topics on the upper page.
