Dead pixel column

So i got a dead pixel column on my second monitor, but sometimes it goes away for a bit.

 

any clues as to why it goes away from time to time?

 

right now if i use discord and other stuff i just use that line as center seam for the two apps, but its a bit annoying when i put a video on fullscreen

it's a poor connection between the glass lcd panel and the circuitry that sends the data for the columns... as the panel heats or cools there may be intermitted connection between the strip with contacts and the lcd glass

 

See picture below ... that brown film has hundreds of traces (copper wires) and the strip is glued to the circuit board with some heat and a heat sensitive glue. If there's some weak spot where the glue didn't stick well to the circuit board, that wire or a few wires don't make good contact with the circuit board so that column of pixels doesn't receive fresh data each frame.

Most likely a single loose connection, it probably turns on if it connects again by being shaken a bit.

interesting. shacking doesnt do anything, that was the second thing i tried after hitting it on the side, its somehow randomly works, so im guessing it might be more along heat expansion to mess with it then
