So I got a monitor, I was pretty sure that they were declaring the false, so I decided to take it apart

The thing is that now I have two different declaration, the one printed into the pcb says one thing, the sticker says another thing

So I cannot understand which one it is

But both "declared displays" don't correspond to what the manufacturer is claiming

So you think the monitor was falsely advertised or not what it claimed to be?   You found different internal markings claiming the device parts are from different other display neither of which is the thing that was claimed by the seller.  Sounds like you were probably right.  A thing cobbled together from parts of two different devices and sod as a third?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Yeah, but I don't really get what's the purpose of marking a display as two different displays

Unless they don't use it as indication for tecnichians that they can also use another type of display, or they are just buying and assembling crap or what

Anyway the problem now is with the warranty

I might just say (I got it from amazon anyway, or better from a seller that was using amazon, so a part of warranty is covered by Amazon) "hey! I didn't trust the manufacturer so I striped up the thing, to search for markings, but by doing so, even if I got the proofs, I might have voided the warranty?"

Heh.  Was it actually amazon or “fulfilled by amazon”?  It could be fly by night Shanzhai stuff and the company on the front may have never have made the thing. “Fulfilled by amazon” isn’t any better than craigslist.

Fulfilled

But here in ue (dunno in the rest of the world), as long it's full filled by amazon, you have one year of guarantee from amazon, so it's not that bad

But remains the problem of what should I say, if I say that I opened the thing, I could void the guarantee

Or I could also "forgot" to plug-in a cable and pretend that it doesn't work anymore, but it's the less ethic one

I’d activate it and complain to amazon.  The issue is it’s a fake product.  “Product not as advertised”

Even it I opened the thing up?

I don't risk to let it void?

Sorry.  Hit enter before I completed my thought.   The post has additions.  The product is fake.  Might call the manufacturer first. (The real one, not the seller) They’ll want to know too.  It’s outside possible they actually put the thing together that way and will honor the warranty in which case it doesn’t matter.  I kinda doubt it though.
