Should I buy a used buy rlly good cheap cpu?

Go to solution Solved by SpookyCitrus,

I'm betting $90 is the auction price, not the buy it now price. If you filter 3600x on ebay with buy it now the cheapest I'm seeing is $240.

Hey y’all I found this rlly good AMD Ryzen 5 3600x online and it’s cheap should I get it?

it has been used but I’m on the Ryzen 3 so it would be a good upgrade?

If a $350 CPU is on sale for $90, I'd be interested for sure, but I wouldn't really expect it to be in working order upon arrival.

It depends. On EBay you’re really taking a risk. It might be just fine and a good bargain. Or it might have some sort of damage or flaws and you end up getting ripped off. However EBay does have pretty good buyer protection so if you get something bad you are usually covered. But you could end up wasting a lot of time.

I agree with eeeee1.  Are the photos of the actual CPU or just stock photos of a Ryzen box.  What does the description say?  The good news is if the description says it is in good working condition and the pictures look good, ebay has pretty decent buyer protection.  I've sold and bought parts on ebay, before and had pretty good experiences with both.

I'm betting $90 is the auction price, not the buy it now price. If you filter 3600x on ebay with buy it now the cheapest I'm seeing is $240.
