Try the onboard before you spend any money, they are just as good as most other sound solutions.

Also consider listening to some other headphones before you buy the M-50,  A few people have said now that they aren't good enough to warrant the price tag. (it maybe that ATH are just cashing in on a small cult following).

That depends on your budget, intended use, environment.  Do you like isolating headphones (seal and keep the noise out like earmuffs), do you like an open airy feel where you can hear everything in the room, do you like portable, do you love bass to the exclusion of treble?

There are quite a few guys on here with a huge combined wealth of experience with many headphones, once we know mos to of the above you will get many recommendations, try to listen to as many of those as you can.

budget nothing over $150

i want closed headphones were i can only hear the game..

will be used for gaming.

environment? in a finished basement.

I will only be using them for computer use so no portable.

I dont want usb connectivity, i want the jack

I like bass but i want more of a crisp clean sound.. nothing shitty..

how many ohms???

get the 80 so you can use it with your on board.  I was thinking the dt770, but I have no idea how much they are where you live.

If you where in Australia I would be recommending Shure srh440, and hd 380pro, or the HD439/429 however I think there are going to be better options for your budget in your country though.

I based it off the "I like bass but i want more of a crisp clean sound" because dat v-curve mayne.

Grab the 80 then. :)

Don't be afraid to look for used ones - they're super durable cans.
