Hi

I measured few days my load temp of my CPU and found it 70C with AIO cooler now I find it increased to 82C !! the only change I made was OC my ram from 3200 to 3600 is this the reason ? any ideas ?

What hardware?

Did the temperature in your home change? Are you using the same software for the "load".

OCing RAM from 3200 to 3600 can increase your CPU temps for a few reasons, but not usually by that much.

3800x CPU with x750 asus tuf and yes same software cpuz stress no change in room temp.

Higher clocked RAM will increase your temps. The memory controller is on the CPU with modern CPUs. Also the infinity fabric will clock higher corresponding to your RAM speed. Did you play around with any voltages while OCing?

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Higher Vsoc will increase your overall CPU temp. Remember that that is basically everything on the CPU that isnt a core.

Also as others have mentioned you are increasing the clock on the fabric and IMC when you are jacking up the DDR clock

If someone has helped you out on the forum don't forget to give them a reaction to say thank you!

Is this true for Intel as well?? I recently took my PC apart and cleaned out all the dust(Was a LOT!). After cleaning it out, I also installed 3200Mhz ram, replacing the 2400Mhz ram I originally had. I noticed the idle temps are about 5 degrees higher. I expected them to come down after cleaning out all the dust...Do you guys think my increase in temps if from the ram upgrade?

Yes, for intel the memory controller is on the CPU aswell, but Intel does not have the infinity fabric as the don't use multiple chiplets. Don't worry about a few °C more at idle. Idle temps can fluctuate a lot because windows or other apps like antivirus might do something in the background without you knowing. Load temp is important.

Great thanks for the info...I did not know this...I was going to take the heatsinc off and reapply the thermal paste...(Pain the butt)
Instead I will check my load temps to make sure they are still good.
And swap the old slower memory in to see if that brings the temps down a couple degrees just to make sure, if so, will put the faster memory back in
Cheers
