2) What are the advantages of Z87 over B85?

BTW, if you plan on recommending a better ITX board, it has to be under 150 dollars US.

This will be a budget gaming/everyday use PC.

Other specs are i3-4130 and GTX 760.

I most likely won't overclock.

The B85 board is fine. Z87 is an overclocking chipset, which is useless for an i3. I like the specs.

You can overclock on b85/81 boards even tho not as good as in a z87, where you can also OC ram. You just have to be able to select the right mobo. Asus, ASrock (mine for example, Fatal1ty B85 killer) and a few other have B85 motherboards that allow Overclocking.

As for OP, if you are on a budget, consider the motherboard i have. It cost me around 110-115USD and comes with good lan/sound.

B85 - no overclocking at all, less board features, cheapest thing out there

Z87 - good overclocking, more board features (depending on the price tag of course), quite a bit more expensive than a B85 motherboard.

Since your chip is an i3 there will be no overclocking on it anyway so there is no much point of overspending for a Z87 board unless you really want some of the exclusive premium features of certain manufacturer.

This is a very good H87 motherboard. H81/87 is kind of the middle ground between the B and Z chipset, however it still lacks CPU overclocking options.
