Help with M.2 drives please

Macka09

Hi guys. I’ve just built a pc and I’ve used 2 m.2 drives. It’s a b550 tomahawk and the drives are a crucial p2 and a crucial mx500 m.2. I’ve got the P1 in slot 1 and the mx500 in slot 2. Entering the bios the slot 2 is not picked up. When I switch the drives round both register in bios. I have no idea why this would be. Any help please?

Slot 2 only supports NVMe, so you can't use the SATA MX500 in that slot.

So I assume that’s not the same for slot 1 as the mx500 is picked up in that slot

I can’t even select to boot from the nvme drives. Even though both are being picked up but in the reverse order to how I wanted them. Any ideas please?

did you enable the nvme ports for pcie in bios? .

then somewhere you can select the second one to be x2 speed or x4 speed.

to use them as boot drives you probably have to download the ahci/raid drivers and have them handy (unpacked) for the installation.

and at the disk selection window you have to press load driver, and go to the drive you have them on. install. then you should be able to see all drives.
