So I recently got myself a new tv, a Samsung Q80R love the TV but HDR has me at my wits end.

My ps4 works fine with HDR, And I've gotten the PC working wirh it too but not...properly.

I run an Asus RTX 2080ti Duel It is an HDMI 2.0b card, and my TV is HDMI 2.0b

When running HDR thoguh I was getting a VERY washed out and gross image. This seems to be a common complaint. I found out apparently older HDMI standards just cant do 4k 60hz and HDR, I could do 4k or 60, or HDR and 60 and I imagine HDR and sub 60 too but the only way I could get all 3 to play nice together was to set the TV to 50hz. I was not amused by this fact but... shugged it off as the reality of the situation. I came to this revilation with the help of @SolarNova
in this thread here (including the link for some context of how I got it working by playing with "nvidia colour settings")

Getting my HDR working I proudly posted a pic of the compairison to a subreddit for the game and I was informed older HDMI cables just didnt have the bandwidth needed but since I have an HDMI 2.0b TV and (he thought) an HDMI 2.1 video card all id need is an HDMI 2.1 cable and I would be set.

So I got one, it arrived today pluged it in and...the washed out colours return.

I had the TV on RGB Full before when running at 50hz and it was fine. dude on reddit said that I hould enable 4:4:4 limited with 10bit colour but I just cant do it 10bit isnt there, SolarNova said it shoudnt be, guy on reddit also said I should try just the default colour settings in NvCP but that too gave me washed out colours... so I dont know what to do at this point.

Is there anyway for me t get HDR + 4k res + 60hz? on this display (There is no DP cable) Or is this just a lost cause...
