Hey, I know this is kind of off topic in these forums, but i need help. I am trying to install Windows 98 in a vm and I always get something like this at boot up. Please help if you can, i'm only 11 years old

Do you have a Ryzen CPU? There's a bug with it that causes 16/32 bit operating systems to fail.

 

You can fix it by following these steps, but any 16 bit programs will still cause a crash.

Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with Windows 98, although I can say that it could be the hardware you are running on the VM since newer hardware may not have been designed/tested/approved to work with an older OS such as Windows 98.

Of course, with my luck the .dll errors are popping up about DOS but the patch did work for the other thing! @BobVonBob

It's okay though, i have NT 4.0 and Win95.
