Hello All,

I have recently rebuilt my computer doing alot of upgrades and have been left with a plethora of spare parts. The first thing I changed was the CPU and motherboard many months before I touched anything else and sold the old components. It was previously paired with an i5 6500 and a MSI B150A Gaming Pro Mobo.

The parts I have currently are as follows:

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 3gb
G.Skill Ripjaws 2400mhz DDR4
NZXT Source 530 ATX Case
Corsair CX600
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

All I am missing to complete a second build (For Resale) is a motherboard and CPU. What I am looking for is a Mobo/CPU combo for no more than £150 which does not compromise on performance. I am more than happy to purchase second hand or new provided it comes within the budget. It must also be compatible with the above components.

Any questions please feel free to ask. To give some context I am based in the UK so American websites are a No-Go :( If anyone could link some good combos which would give good performance with the above components whilst not breaking the budget that would be appreciated as I am struggling to find something within budget that will offer a good level of performance.

Kind Regards,

Millsy

Thats quite contradicting. A good budget CPU - AMD Ryzen 3300X costs around 120€ or £.

I guess 3100X would be £20 cheaper, but still - can't find a decent mobo for £50.

To Clarify my statement further, I could buy a CPU/MOBO combo for £50 but it would be DDR3 and wouldn't make the most of the potential performance of the GTX 1060. I am looking for best performance at my Price Point.

buy the cheapest AM4 board you can find, and either a 3100/3300x or a 1600AF/2600. Basically whatever you can find within budget. I bought a used 2600 for 80ish a few months back but the prices have gone up a bit since.

The cheap boards arent great, but will make zero odds to performance and even with shite VRM's they'll happily run one of the lower end quad or 6 core chips.

I'd rather buy a £40 board and a half decent CPU like a 3300x, than spend £80 on a mobo and ending up with a much slower CPU as a result.
