Pc parts

Go to solution Solved by Sinasteria,

Okay so you've never built a pc before and scared and may have no knowlegde of what to get so to protect your pocket , just in case you  best to ask as many questions before you buy\order

so i assuming you might want help if its your first time ask people what you need\want it for and what your budget can accommodate so you dont get suckered by someone or mislead by not knowing what to get ,word of advice if you havent bought anything hold out for a bit longer once the refreshes and new release pop within the month  ,prices may\ will drop more or less

graphics card > what card do you have or what do you need it for specifically also make sure its dimensions can fit the case some are huge

mother board > make sure your buying one that support either the amd or intel chip your buying> also make sure the chip and board are compatible

fans > you dont really need alot more so for the cpu cooler if its air\liquid on the radiator(s) depending on the make normally come with them and the one to vent in and one to vent out air should keep your system air flow

cpu > make sure its like the specification of that to what i said on the Motherboard

cpu cooler > if its air or water cooling kit should come with all that you need just make sure it comes with the correct mounting brackets for your board

power supply > you will need decent wattage to support your systems total power draw you can just google a psu calculator for wattage draw to find the best for your build

case > make sure the size like atx, mini atx matches your board are you going to have a small case with a big board that dont fit in

thermal paste most coolers come with pre apply stuff but having it for maintenance is never a bad idea or if you may need it

you will need ram if your getting ram and its amd get atleast 3200mhz in speed also make sure if you buyuing ram to get the best cas timings for ram kits you gonna need atleast 16GB of ram for a decent pc build

a boot drive simply if you want a fast boot not required really but a preferred thing is having an ssd or mdot 2 ss drive to boot from

but not required to have ssd's they are so much faster and help latency  stay low and help you frag more in games instead of dying

normal hdd are great for storage where ssd's are best for gaming and content creation ,since its your first build i would ask what you need and what your looking from you pc wither it be for content creation to gaming or for virtual reality gaming  plus what your budget it and and always look at reviews before order esp when it comes to the x570 there are so many bad motherboards with crappy vrms aka msi x570 a pro almost bought that one but thanks to reviewers i dogde that bullet

A computer absolutely needs a motherboard, power supply, CPU, boot drive, RAM, and CPU cooler + thermal compound to operate. A case, fans, graphics card, RGB LEDs, etc range from should be present to nice to have. I would say that you should at least have a case, CPU, motherboard, RAM, boot drive, power supply, and a CPU cooler + thermal compound since while you can run without a case, it is recommended to offer some protection against damage to your computer hardware from elements of its environment such as liquids, dust, drops, etc.

Your list seems good, although you are missing RAM and a boot drive.

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

quick question is boot drive the same as storage because I have 2 500gb hardrives

Yes

Nandflash is much faster tho

Getting something like an mx500 ( TLC with dram cache ) will be a lot faster
