It's a very complex question you've asked but I think it's possible in the 20secs of googling I did. You're going to want to find a build of linux that has support for your processor architecture and given it's running a 64bit Intel processor I think you're gonna be fine. This article (x) from Tablet Ninja might be a good start but it's not gonna be easy. Best of luck, and I'd be interested in seeing how you go with it.

The problem is that I'd need a low overhead on ram usage and potentially be resident on memory the only linux  I remember is puppy linux I'm more likely to flash an unbloated android due to bootstrapping issues. Thanks for the article
