Haven't seen them past 75. Doesn't seem very high but im in my room and it gets pretty hot and was wondering if I could probably lower it

No, your temps are fine then.

You won't be lowering your room temperature with thermal paste. Thats not how heat works

I was thinking that if I apply better thermal paste which would lower the temps of my card therefore releasing much less heat. Do you think applying a better paste would cool it down by a few degrees?

That is not how it works...

Replacing the thermal paste will just remove the heat out of the GPU *faster*, transferring the heat more efficiently FROM the GPU to the heatsink / cooler.

It doesn't make the GPU generate less heat.

The card still generates the SAME amount of heat.

The only way to reduce the heat output is by undervolting and/or underclocking the card.

Ohh sorry I got that mixed up but it still would lower temps right? or does it not work the same as it would on a cpu? Used FurMark for 10min and got max 98 junction temp

Yes, it should lower the temperatures by maybe a few *C, but don't expect like a 5*C+ change.

That is assuming the stock thermal paste has dried out, or poor thermal paste application from the factory.

98*C is on the hotter side, but still within spec.

I'd keep an eye on that, and make sure it doesn't exceed ~100*C / 105*C.

Well, you are pushing 1.200V and 2150 MHz after all...

I see Ill try undervolting it to 1.1 and change the thermal paste. Thank you

Good luck.

You might need to drop your 2150 MHz down to 2100 (or under) if you use 1.100V.
