VPS question

Their free VPS's run linux and will not have a desktop environment installed.  And with 128MB of RAM you are not going to want to install a desktop environment. in fact for any VPS i don't see the need to have a GUI, SSH access is all you really need, if you need a windows VPS with a desktop environment you are going to have to pay.

Hey so on Host1free i recently got a free VPS just for fun to test out,

 

And i have always though that to VPS servers I could login through Remote desktop that is provided with Windows. I have to use some kind of a program like Putty and it uses a console. So i want to ask if I can physically Log into Remote Desktop when i have any VPS or does it have to be a specific VPS server?

If you dont understand then.

 

You know when you have remote desktop? you have to login to it using a VPS address and on Host1free i have an ip etc but cant connect to it only there is a tutorial saying that i have to use putty and thats a console which im not good at. All i want is to log into the Server and lets say browse it etc

Most VPS's run some version of linux, so you would not able able to remote desktop into them. You could probably find a service that will give you a windows machine or setup a remote desktop system on a linux VPS.

Currently your VPS very likely doesn't even have the desktop elements installed, you would need to do that first.
