Wired output

Elmo2091

I just bought a brand new GPU(RX 550 4Gb) and when I play games or watch YouTube I get wired things on my screen.I refunded the card and got another one but shows the same.

I think he's talking about the purple lines in the details(crevises, etc.) Think that's more of a monitor issue

Don't make multiple posts about the same issue. It's against the rules

Not sure what to look for either. Are you talking about screen tearing? What is your monitor refresh rate? What GPU did you have before?

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Damn, I might be getting old (not to notice)... or is that just VA panel?  The only reason I changed from VA to IPS, were the dark and bright contrast having ghosting.

I had an Ati Radeon HD 3870 and it worked fine.

The refresh rate is 60 Hz but the monitor supports up to 75 Hz.

But what about your monitor model?

Thats not a VA issue. I've had a good Quality VA Monitor for a Long time and never had such Problems. Only reason i got away from VA is OLED.

@Elmo2091 seems more like a Driver issue to me. After changing out your GPU use DDU.

I've had several good VA-s also. AOC C24G1 and AG272FCX6 for example.

And all of they tended to have a ghosting problem when for example scrolling up and down on white-black contrast. It's not visible with a regular text, the best example was with a black avatar and white background. Trust me, it's better on IPS.

I know it's better in IPS, i didn't say otherwise. But ghosting from a strong overdrive on VA tends to be a White blur and not purple. And it only occured in transitions from black for me. But now using OLED i'd never go back to an LCD. At least not as long as MiniLED or MicroLED with perferct black is a thing. ;)

Either you make a compromise on contrast with ips, speed with VA and image quality overall with TN.

FTR... did you mean "weird"...?

I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have added.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

Still I suspect theres something wrong with color or pixel-format  (Full RGB to limited RGB) or it's just bad VA panel.

I tried all Pixel Format settings and using ddu but it still doesn't work properly.

Freesync works best with Displayport (well; in my Vega 56/AOC CQ32G1WG4 pairing, it does) - have you tried Displayport...?
