Hey guys so I have a minor problem that I'd like to fix if its possible.

So I have an MSI gaming laptop and the thunderbolt port is acting really weird. What I mean by "weird" is that it works completely fine except when I'm trying to charge my phone thru it. I usually use the port for an external m2 drive (its in an adaptor with a thunderbolt port) and it works fine. I'm getting the speeds I should be getting when I run tests but when I unplug the hdd and charge my phone, my phone says "fast charging" but the percentage doesn't go up whatsoever; stuck at whatever percentage I plugged it in at. I even went to the notification bar on my phone and set it to "charging only" to rule out that maybe its connected as a media device (even though it would still charge even if it was).

I tried different cables and still the same problem. When I use the same cables with a wall plug, it charges my phone fine. I also maybe thought it was just thunderbolt itself thats causing the issue so I tried charging it on another pc thru a thunderbold cable and it charges my phone perfectly fine.

IT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!!!

Someone please tell me what the problem is cuz its driving me nuts because it shouldn't be happening. The port isn't damaged or anything and yet it wants to not work specifically on my phone. I also tried a friend's phone and same thing. It won't charge. If I try to charge my Nintendo Switch with the port, it works fine. Like what the hell is going on.........
