already have amp/dac but for my studio monitors already decided on m50x

If you have the chance change that to M40x, they're not my first suggestion for mixing (which should always be done on speakers, headphones lie) but they're a damn sight nicer than the 50x.

I would say DT 770 or shure srh 840 if you prefer something a bit more flat
