Fallout 4 load times

Hey. I am having trouble replaying fallout. I have reinstalled it on a mechanical drive and since the load times are terrible, Not when launching the game though when you transition from inside a building back to the outside world it can take around 3 minutes.

I have tired updating the Nvidia driver and turning off cloud saves though it is still an issue.I can try to put it on my ssd though I think there might be another cause?

its likely from the Mechanical drive. They are slow and inefficient when it comes to game load times. Putting it on an SSD should significantly help.

Fallout 4 load times are not based on HDD/SSD speeds.

I have Fallout 4 on an HDD, SATA SSD and 970 EVO. They all load at the same time.

 

The load will finish when vram has finished loading in. You can test this yourself with MSI Afterburner.
