So I'm sitting here and getting ready to switch out my old i7-6700, and basically my whole old system. I'm going to get into streaming and all the parts of my system has been picked out... Except ofcourse cooling. Now here is what I got so far.

MSI x570 tomahawk:

Ryzen 9 3900x:

Cooler Master Masterbox NR600: comes with 2 stock 120mm fans

Crucial Ballistix 2*16 3600mhz ddr4 CL16:

MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X (my old card)

Fsp HydroG 750w 80+ gold:

These are the part but I can't for the life of me make up my damn mind for the CPU cooler. I have two in mind.

arctic freezer 34 esports duo

Air cooler. I would use this with 3 Arctic Bionix F120 in the front of the case as intake and the 2 stock fans as exhaust. However I'm afraid the plate is too small for the 3900x IHS. Maybe it won't cover the whole chip or will just not be beefy enough to tame it. (NOT planning on manual OC)

Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240mm

Aio baby! Or not? This would sit at the front of the case as intake as this case don't have room for a rad anywhere else. YES it would cool the CPU but since I would have that, and that only as my intake and the 2 stock fans as outtake. I'm a little nervous my other components would get quite toasty when I'm streaming, as there would not be much in terms of airflow besides what the fans spit through the rad. Also it's a smaller case sooooo... Kinda scared of thermals.

Now I did not leave a budget as I want to know what you guys recommend. Also I'm from Denmark and our prices are stupid thicc compared to the US and so on.

So what do you guys think? I'd love to hear your opinions and maybe suggestions. Also if you recommend a cooler, maybe leave some thermals for me too❤️

Love you all~ and thanks in advance. Also if I forgot something, please let me know~

Get like a sycthe ninja 5 or dark rock 4 if you want overkill. You also should manually oc if you are planning to as that will save you the issue of having far too much volt running through your cpu by the auto oc and actually damaging it over time.

You can totally cool the 3900x with a lower end cooler tho as it's not really that hot running of a part.

The Arctic Freezer 34 esports is better value than either of those, assuming it can be bought at it's normal price.

I was not aware that the 3900x had some problems if you just leave it on stock settings? Anything you can explain further?

The Arctic is about half the price of the Dark Rock 4 and ofcourse even cheaper than the Pro.

And still a fair Chuck cheaper (35-40%) cheaper than the scythe ninja 5. Also the ninja is pretty thicc boi xD

So you think the 34 duo would be a better/fine option? The Arctic duo is about 40usd here. (Keep in mind it's Denmark so.... Everything costs more. Hence why I did not mention any prices xD)

Yes the 34 duo would be fine. Most reviews give it a very good score overall.

Yeah I saw this too. But is the ryzen 9 3900x IHS not larger than that of the 9900k? From memory the 34 duo would not cover the whole IHS. Would that not make it less effective?

It is only slightly larger. Should be a non issue. If it was a Threadripper cpu then it would be more of a problem.

Alright! Thanks a lot. Guess that does it then. Max out intake fans and a air cooler. Thanks dude. Also one last thing. You think it would be better using a static pressure fan in the top intake slot instead of a airflow? So that one fan can concentrate air straight to the CPU cooler. Then the other two leave them as normal Airflow? Any opinions on that? Or just go full 3 120 airflow?

If you plan on keeping the pre-installed fans then I would move the 120mm to the rear/top and then just buy 3 x 120mm Arctic P12 PWM PST for the front. Sometimes you can get a 5 pack Arctic P12 for good money as well if you want them all to match. If you get the PST ones then you can connect all three fans to one header.

I will keep both the stock fans for exhaust. Might aswell you know.

So you think the P120 for static pressure is better for intake? Don't care much if they match but was thinking maybe having the top intake fan as a p120 would make a more focused stream of air for the CPU cooler. Then 2 F120 for airflow so I can fill up the case with more fresh air.

You could use either the P12 or F12 to be honest, as the mesh front doesn't look that restrictive on the NR600 case. If you had a case with a mesh front and then a filter behind it then the P series would be better.

Thanks a lot mate❤️ think it will be the air cooler and the fans. One static pressure to give the cpu cooler direct air and 2 F120 to fill the case with air so my gpu won't die😂

You've been a great help sir~
